The Solution to the Recycler Malware (that changes your files to shortcuts) Problem on your PC

You might not know how important this Article is until you're in this Trojan Mess, I knew this solution the hard way, when my beloved laptop crashed around 2 years ago partly as a result of the problem, I nearly cried because all my over the years hard earned 500GB worth of vital data, softwares, and info just vanished into thin air.
Whenever you Noticed that all the Files on your Storage Device (External Hard-disk, Flash Drive or Memory Card) changed into a Shortcut and you try to Open it but its not Opening, Just bear in Mind that you have been Infected by the Recycler Malware..
How To Solve the Recycler Malware Problem on your PC:
There are basically 2 methods;

1. Auto Method: Use of a good frequently updated Antivirus Software (a free version if u can't afford premium version) but NEVER cracked version please, to scan your system then quarantine or delete the detected viruses, I will recommend avast free version, or Microsoft Security essentials.
2. Manual Method;
Follow the procedure below:
1. Plug the Affected Device (Hard Disk, Flash Drive or Memory Card) through the USB Port, Now Open your My Computer and note down the Alphabet of the Device you plugged. e.g Some Device might Display G, D, E etc. just note the letter down.
2. Now Click on the "Start" Menu --> Type Run in the Box, Then click on it-->
Type cmd and click on OK.
Then Enter this command.
attrib -h -r -s /s /d G:*.*
OR
attrib -h -r -s /s /d X:*.*
=> You can copy the above command
--> Right-click in the Command Prompt and paste it there. (The "G" in the Command is an Example if your Drive is
displaying G, You can see I used "X" in the Other Command, It depends on
yours).
3. Now check the files in the Storage drive after the process is finished successfully. You now have your clean files back.
TO AVOID FUTURE OCCURENCE, please use the first Antivirus method with real time scanning for future prevention.
REMEMBER, PREVENTION IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN CURE.
If the virus keep on reoccurring, then your internal hard disk has been infected, you will have to perform a deep scan of all your PC drives with a good Antivirus Software e.g. Avast free Antivirus then quarantine or delete the detected viruses after scanning is completed.
